I promised I would share the results of the reverse osmosis system I purchased from Amazon. I only did the fluoride test, with and without the filter, on the Brigham City Municipal tap water.
Here are the results; first, straight from the tap, second using the RO filter.
I am pleased to confirm that the RO system removes the hexafluorosilicic acid added by municipal authorities. (If only there were such a relatively cheap and easy way to remove municipal authorities.)
Since there is no scientific evidence that fluoridated water provides any benefit to adults, even after decades of doing so, I imagine that there is also lack of evidence of safety from side effects. (Maybe it was tested on 8 mice??)
For children, the evidence benefit mostly comes from studies prior to 1975, when flouride toothpaste became a thing. Since the clinical benefit comes from fluoride in contact with tooth enamel, why do we ingest it?
Thanks for reading.
